QUICK TAKE:
Earlier this year, Slam Jam worked with Nike to create a “Class of 1977” Nike Blazer Mid to honor its 30th Anniversary. The collaboration featured a white Blazer Mid with upside down Swooshes. However, it dropped exclusively at Pitti Uomo 96 and in other limited quantities, disallowing many from a chance at ownership. Now, leaked images reveal an inverted version of the shoe that may find a release in November.

DESIGN:
The original Slam Jam x Nike Blazer Mid “Class of 1977 featured a white base with black upside-down Swooshes. This time the colors are inverted, with black taking the leather and canvas base and white adorning the white leather Swooshes. Like the original, sponge and suede retain a vintage flair, and “Class” and “1977” are stitched into the heel-tabs.

ANALYSIS:
While the white rendition of this Nike Blazer Mid will always be more coveted and attractive overall, its always nice to get the opportunity at at least a close secondary option. The variation of the Swoosh is unique and a big part of 2019 design, and the sleek old school silhouette is in-fashion forever.

RELEASE DATE:
Reportedly, this black colorway of the Slam Jam x Nike Blazer Mid “Class of 1977” will be available via raffle from November 9 to November 28, with a release following on November 29. As always, stay tuned for updates and an official announcement.
