QUICK TAKE:
adidas links up with Craig Green for some wild takes on the adidas Kamanda. The eccentric designer is known for bold colors and tantalizing details and in this case adds to an already unconventional model in the Kamanda. Unfortunately, we will have to wait until Spring 2020 to get our hands on these bad boys, but for now, here’s some more pictures and information.
DESIGN:
Green takes this unorthodox model and splashes it with futuristic translucent uppers and bright, vivid hues, ranging from green to full silver metallic looks. The variety itself is impressive. As we get more details, we will be able to understand the material use and ideas behind this look.
ANALYSIS:
These colorways are definitely some of the more interesting adidas Originals models in awhile, but I am not sure how well they will resonate with the general public. The colorways are definitely daring, and will require a special type of person to pull off- unless fashion trends change dramatically by the Summer of 2020. Still, collaborations seem to always work, especially when coming from the runway. Did people love the Nike x Sacai models at first?
