After releasing a collaboration with Nike and Kyrie Irving in November, Boston-based sneaker boutique, Concepts, continues to stay in the news this month. The shoe store cemented itself in Nike SB’s collaborative history by working with the Swoosh on various ‘Lobster’-themed Nike SB dunk lows in the early 2000s. The shoes all focused on the Cambridge fishing community and the various hues of lobster that can be found in local waters. Already, we’ve seen red, blue, and an ultra-limited yellow colorway.

Now, 10 years later, Nike SB and Concepts have linked up yet again to offer the public a ‘Purple Lobster’. The shoe features the same detailing as its predecessors, from the paint speckling, to the picnic blanket lining, and finally the rubber bands for the toebox. Is this the best ‘Lobster’ colorway, yet?
Nike and Concepts will launch the Purple Lobster Dunk on Friday, December 14th exclusively at Concepts in-store (NYC and Cambridge) and online. A skate-shop only release will follow on Saturday, December 15th, while a SNKRS drop will conclude the release on December 17th. There are also rumors of a shop-exclusive green colorway being released in-store only at Concepts. We’ll keep you up-to-date as we gain more information. Let us know your thoughts on this latest colorway.
