New Balance has sponsored top-flight Scottish Premiership soccer club Celtic FC for the last few years, and now they take their partnership to the next level. The top club in Scotland gets its first commemorative shoe with the New Balance 997H “For the Bhoys”.
The 997H “For the Bhoys” is painted up in the traditional colors of the legendary club. A primarily suede upper with classic green, white, grey, and a touch of gold sits on top of a simple white midsole. The tongue and insole feature the team crest, and the sole is finished off in a stark black.
This colorway is incredibly clean, and most would be excited to cop already. But with the added element of Celtic pride, these 997H’s are sure to fly off the shelves. This is not the first time a team has gotten a commemorative shoe, but the flawless execution here reminds of the recently reviewed Air Jordan 6 “PSG”. Overall this is a win for everyone involved, including those who are able to get their hands on a pair.
The Celtic FC x New Balance 997H “For the Bhoys” is available for pre-order on the Celtic FC website now.
