Quick Take:
Nike SB continues to cement its hold on the skateboarding industry by supporting young brands like Frog Skateboarding. This Friday, the two will release a collaborative project that brings the Nike SB Blazer Mid back to the front of skater’s minds.

Design:
The shoe features multiple Frog Skateboards-specific details to really create a unique overall look and feel. This iteration of the Blazer features a pale green upper with a hairy suede construction, while a cartoon frog character is embroidered above the swoosh on the side panels. The Swoosh itself is a yellow-ish green, and ‘Frog’ is emblazoned on the back heel tab. Finally, a cartoon lady bug is used on heel of the sole and repeatedly on the shoe’s laces. Finally, the Frog Skateboards logo can be found on the interior of the tongue tag.

Analysis:
Frog Skateboards has been around in some form of apparel for the last three to four years, as NYC-transplants Jesse Alba and Chris Milic put down roots in the Big Apple. The brand, along with its sister apparel company, Stingwater, has finally put together some footage and a solid team of quirky boarders. As can be seen with this collaboration, both Frog and Stingwater employ the use of ‘Microsoft paint’-esque cartoony designs. Not everyone is always into it, but this collab seems to hit a happy medium with a cute ‘lil frog and some exquisite hairy suede.

Release Info:
The Frog x Nike SB Blazer Mid will release on March 16th, exclusively to skateshops nationwide. No price has been released, but expect this launch to be $120, max. We will keep you updated as we know more!
