First Look: Nike Air Presto Fly World

Quick Take:

The Nike Air Presto line is iconic in the annals of sneaker culture, and thankfully has seen a resurrection over the past few years- even after the Swoosh had seemed to put the original to bed. One of the lightest, most comfortable innovations in the Nike repertoire, it has also been a key player in a number of heralded collaborative collections including Off-White, Undercover, and COMME des Garcons. The original model has introduced in a number of varying constructions from the Mid Utility to the Presto Tent, Check out the rest of the new-look embellishments on the Presto Fly World ahead and stay tuned for Stateside release details as pairs are currently available at select overseas houses.

Design:

Set to be introduced in a a familiar “Unholy Cumulus” colorway from the genesis of the original silhouette, it combines flashes of Oriental Poppy and Skylight with contrasting black and white notes.

Dubbed the Presto Fly World, the model plays on the bootie like upper of the original silhouette adding a mesh overlay to the TPU lacing cage. The debut “White/Poppy-Skylight” colorway features a white base upper contrasted by a black cutout at the midfoot. Light teal on the lacing cage and heel serve to add another touch of color to the simple two-tone upper. Branding on the shoe comes in the form of a new Presto tongue logo and Swooshes at the midfoot and toe.

Analysis:

Deviations from the model’s first construction include a reinvented, mesh midfoot cage, a new Presto tongue logo, and re-invented quarter panelling. Overall, it looks like a slight variation from the Presto Fly.
