Paris Fashion Week revealed another exciting collaboration, as COMME des GARÇONS linked up with Jordan Brand to create a luxury version of the iconic Air Jordan 1 silhouette.
The shoe has a variety of alterations, most notably an extended tongue and large buckle strap added around the ankle. Decorative metal loops hang from the ankle collar and give the shoe a more regal appearance overall. Metal eyelet covers are also new additions to the forefoot and ankle eyelets. Finally, the clean single color leather upper is the finishing touch on this clean collaboration.
Overall, this is a classy iteration of the classic Air Jordan 1 model. It bares a conceptual resemblance to John Buscemi’s 100mm shoes, pictured below, but with the appeal of the Swoosh still intact. No release details have been revealed yet, but we will keep you posted.
