For the past 3-4 years, “Write a KB article” has been scribbled on the top of my daily planner off and on. I pay a small annual fee to retain ownership of the web page, but have not touched it in years. Over that time, I’ve come up with loose ideas for things to write about, ways to try to pivot from regurgitating sneaker release information to some new content. I’ve gone back in forth in my head, assessing the pros and cons of different content styles, ultimately spending doing nothing.
I still don’t know exactly what I want Kickbeast to be, or how I want it to be. But I figure I should try, though! Do I transition to video content (cringe, but tik tok is king, right? Do I do an e-mail newsletter (I think technically this blog already is emailed to subscribers). Should I stick to the sneaker news that served as a namesake for the site, or branch out further? What do I want my audience to be/how tf do I get an audience in the first place?
Who cares. All that matters is I start doing something and move in the direction I want to go. No more pretending I’m too young to pursue a dream, no more avoiding calculated risks. I just want to do something I can be passionate about and share that passion with others.
